About this tool
STL is one of the most widely supported formats for 3D printing. It represents a surface as triangular facets, which makes it easy to move between modeling tools and slicers but leaves out colors, textures, and material data.
Use this STL viewer to check the visible shape of a binary or ASCII STL file before you continue. It is useful for spotting an unexpected silhouette, missing-looking faces, or an export that is clearly not the model you intended.
01
Open the two common STL encodings in one browser-based viewer.
02
Rotate around the model and zoom in before you move to slicing, CAD cleanup, or client review.
03
Use a neutral material preview that keeps the triangle geometry readable without implying color data that STL does not store.
Built for real 3D workflows
Preview a downloaded or exported STL before opening Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, or another slicer.
Confirm that a mesh export has the expected overall shape before sharing it downstream.
Inspect an STL from a client or teammate without installing Blender or another desktop application.
How it works
01
Select a local STL file. No account or upload is required for the preview.
02
Orbit around the model and zoom in to inspect the silhouette and visible surfaces.
03
If you need a fresh model, use Image to 3D as the starting point for a new concept.

FAQ
Yes. The viewer uses the browser's STL loader and supports common binary and ASCII STL files.
Standard STL stores triangle geometry, not a full material or texture workflow. The viewer uses a neutral material so the shape is easy to inspect.
No. The file is read locally in your browser for this preview session.
No. The viewer helps you inspect the visible shape. It does not replace a slicer's manifold, wall-thickness, support, or printability checks.
The page is responsive and the viewer supports touch orbit and zoom. Very large meshes may still perform better on a desktop with more available memory.
Standard STL stores triangle geometry rather than colors, textures, or materials. Use a format such as GLB or OBJ when the surface appearance needs to travel with the model.
